Poems Explanation

My first poem talks about how most people compare us to Al-Shabab and other terrorist groups. These poems are to show the feelings I have towards how people treat Muslims and how they discriminate them. It is talking about how rumours are being create in society and how it should not be created because they have feelings as well and how painful it is to be pushed away by the same people we see on the streets. The statement “comparing us to them I see” is talking about Al-Shabab because people just seem to se Muslims as terrorists and this should not be normal due to the fact that Muslims are not terrorists and that they should be treated equally.

The second poem talks about how people who have mistaken Islam to be a full-on terrorist group which they are not. As the poem says “terrorism has no religion” this is a true statement terrorism has no religion because there are many terrorist groups out there of different races such as the KKK they are a white terrorist group. If white people are not treated differently even though there is a whole group that is full of white terrorists then why should Muslims be discriminated from society and be differentiated just because of a group of people which you can clearly se are not the same as a normal Muslim person.

Next my third poem this poem shows how Muslims are different is sorts of ways, but it is not a difference that should affect how people see us. It shows a statement of a question in the starting “what are you scared of?” later I say the differences of what Muslims have, this should not be why Muslims are discriminated. In the poem I said, “Maybe if they made a Muslim friend Maybe then there would be no problem.” I personally think that there would be no problem what so ever is a person made a friend with a Muslim and got to know them and there struggle within day to day life just because of discrimination maybe then humanity will understand how hard it is for Muslims and that Muslims are not horrible people and are innocent. The poem also says that people try to kill us even though we do not try to attack them or anything before anything has happened, they attack Muslims. People think that before Muslims attack them, they should be the first to attack and either kill them or change their religion and beliefs. Muslims will not attack they try to live in coexistence with others, but those same people are trying to stay away from them.

I had tried to write a haiku and this poem is talking about how Muslims are not “Monsters” and that they are humans as well that they should be treated the same way and they should have rights as well because from what I have seen Muslims have no rights in certain areas because Muslims are treated as if they’re monsters who are going to kill those people. The haiku is showing that Muslims are no different and that they want to live freely and peacefully with other humans and that they do not want war or to attack people because of their religion. This poem is to show equality between Muslims and normal people which Muslims are as well.

My 2 final poems are acrostic poems I wrote 2 of these to show the positive side of us and to show the negative side of how we are treated in return. The first acrostic poem is about Muslims being mistreated and not getting the rights they deserve. It talks about how society is trying to kill Muslims and rid the religion of Islam from the world. The positive poem talks about how Muslims are peaceful and how they do not want to attack people it also says that they want to live in peace so why does not everyone let them live equally. Muslims want everyone to live in peace and coexistence trying to eliminate one another is not the right way of doing things we all should just coexist in peace and not fight with one another.
